AN irate man who was accused of threatening his neighbour was hauled before the courts charged with threatening language.

Deoraj Chanan of Lot 849 Hope West Enmore, East Coast Demerara had faced the allegations when he appeared at the Cove and John Court on Wednesday last.
According to particulars of the matter, Chanan on Sunday 20th October, at Hope West Enmore, made use of threatening language towards Jadgeo Sukhoo over who should be responsible for cleaning the block drains that separates the two neighbours property.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Sukhoo was also accused of using threatening language towards Chanan, but he was no show for court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
However the 30-year-old Foreman attached to the Guyana Sugar Corporation was then released on $15,000 bail by Magistrate Shundell Lovell.
The matter was then adjourned until November 27, for report.
