-six new magistrates to take oath of office today

THE Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman as Chief Magistrate.

According to a press release, the appointment, which was made by the Commission on January 7, 2025, will take effect from that date.

Additionally, it was announced that six persons have been selected for appointment to the post of Magistrate. They are Ms. Ocelisa Marks, Ms. Nikkisha Logan, Ms. Jimelle Joseph, Ms. Shareefah Parks, Ms. Taneisha Saygon and Ms. Caressa Henry.

The Oath of Office for appointment to the Magistracy will be taken before the Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips, today.
