Illegal gun, ammo cases also transferred

SELWYN Vandercruise, 48, also of Lot 119 Bagotville, West Bank Demerara, had his cases transferred to Matthews Ridge Court, as well.

That was after Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton remanded him to prison Wednesday, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to having 65 rounds of .32 ammunition, on December 4, at Arakaka, in North West District, too, without being the holder of a firearm licence.

It was alleged, too, that he had a component of a .32 firearm while not having a licence.

Vandercruise will make his next Court appearance on February 2, 2010.
