MEMBER of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Cornel Damon has called for a Go-Invest office on Essequibo Coast.
Speaking at the RDC statutory meeting on Tuesday, he said there are many investors, in the Region, who need to be guided.
Regional Chairman, Mr. Alli Baksh said a letter will be sent to Go-Invest in Georgetown on the request.
Damon also called for a plant nursery in the commercial centre of Anna Regina township, stating that it will boost the ‘grow more food’ campaign, because many people will be able to purchase plants from it.
But Baksh said the Agriculture Department should take the plants to people and more should be done at the Charity Nursery, which is currently managed by the National Agriculture Research Institute (NARI).
