THE Cameron & Shepherd Prize for the best graduating Guyanese student of the Hugh Wooding Law School for 2009 in Civil Procedure 1 and 2 over the two year course for the Legal Education Certificate was won by Mrs. Jacqueline Graham, who was recently admitted to practice.

Mrs. Graham is the wife of Alex Graham, the well known public relations consultant. Mrs. Graham is a mother of one.
In presenting the Book Prize on Thursday last, Mr. Ralph Ramkarran, SC, Senior Partner of Cameron & Shepherd, congratulated Mrs. Graham on winning the coveted prize and also congratulated her on her distinguished performance at the examination for the Legal Education Certificate and her call to the Bar.
He also congratulated Mrs. Graham on her choice of the Law of Contract from the Common Law Library.
Mr. Ramkarran noted that apart from the value of the work in identifying the rights and remedies of clients, it is one of the most useful jobs to assist in day to day practice. Mr. Ramkarran expressed best wishes to Mrs. Graham on behalf of the staff and partners of Cameron & Shepherd, Messrs. Josephine Whitehead, Rafiq Khan, Nikhil Ramkarran and Kamal Ramkarran.
Mrs. Graham thanked Cameron & Shepherd for the Prize and the books. She said that just as she was determined to succeed in her studies, she is determined to succeed in her new endeavours and it was with this in mind that she chose the books on the Law of Contract.
