POLICE are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body of a male of African descent, which was found on Christmas Day at the Le Repentir Cemetery between Louisa Row and St. Stephen Street.
Ranks responded to a 911 report and subsequently located the body inside a barrel within the cemetery. The scene was processed by investigators and the body was later removed by undertakers and taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Police Headquarters said the identity of the man is not known at this time. Several CCTV cameras were observed within the vicinity and will be examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
