CMC – Left-arm spinner Khary Pierre has been added to the West Indies’ T20I squad to help bolster their bowling unit for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
Pierre, who featured in both the two-match Test series in India and the just concluded ODI series against Bangladesh, was named as a replacement following injuries to pacers Shamar Joseph and Jediah Blades.
Joseph reported some discomfort in his shoulder during the first training session ahead of the opening ODI against Bangladesh on Saturday, while Blades suffered a stress fracture to the lower back and will return home to undergo rehabilitation.
