KINGSTON, Jamaica,  (CMC) – Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake says he has no plans to compete on the indoor circuit, at least for now.

Blake, who missed the defence of his 100 metres title at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow due to a hamstring injury, is expected to return to competition in 2014.
However, he has ruled out indoor competition as well as the Commonwealth Games to be staged in Glasgow, Scotland from July 23 to August 3.
“I am not good at 60 metres, because I’m an athlete who gets going in the last 40 metres of a race,” he said.
Although Blake is eager to return to competition, he hasn’t indicated an interest to compete in the Commonwealth Games. “I have passed that stage and will leave it to athletes who are lacking exposure at that level,” he said.
Blake would like his 2014 season plan around the Diamond League season.
“I am looking forward to get back on track and would like to compete in the Diamond League races if my management team is up to it,” said Blake.
The former world 100m champion is recovering from a serious hamstring injury, which caused him to miss the just concluded World Athletics Championships in Moscow, Russia.
Blake, who suffered the injury in April at the University of Technology Classic, said he is awaiting directives from his doctor as to when he can resume training.
