MURDER accused Charles Anthony Woolford, charged with the February 8, 2009 murder of his wife Latoya Woolford at Festival City, will have to face a new trial, because the mixed jury that tried him for the offence before Justice James Bovell-Drakes returned with a verdict of disagreement last week.

Justice Bovell-Drakes consequently discharged the jury, and ordered that the accused face a re-trial at another Criminal Session of the Demerara Assizes.
Woolford was therefore remanded to prison to await his retrial.
