PPP/C continues widespread consultation on plans to take Guyana forward

POSITION Guyana as a “reference point” for environmental stewardship, economic and inclusive growth, President Dr. Irfaan Ali, at today’s PPP/C’s consultation on its 2025 manifesto not only promised the introduction of new programmes but the expansion of current ones, that will catapult Guyana to new heights.

At the Ramada Hotel on the East Bank of Demerara, the President, PPP General Secretary Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo and other executives are listening to the ordinary Guyanese during a wide consultation.

The President framed his government’s agenda as a roadmap for prosperity, pointing to the Low Carbon Development Strategy(LCDS) as one of the underpinnings of Guyana’s development.

President Ali thanked the massive audience for taking the time out to join the PPP/C on its “Forward Together for a Better Guyana” vision.

Incorporating every section of the population forms an essential part of the national discourse, the President emphasized.

He said: “Today, Guyana is a reference point globally on forests and environmental services. We’re the reference point on food security. We will be the reference point on biodiversity. But what is important is that we want to be the reference point of a high quality life here in Guyana, in which our citizens will enjoy the purity of life that is second to none. So it is about building the framework. It’s about creating the opportunities and investing in the key areas that are critical for the advancement of our country.”
