CONTINUING their tradition of supporting Guyana’s development on the sports front, Fitness Express has once again flexed their muscles to ensure that fans and supporters of the Guyana Amateur Body Building & Fitness Federation (GABBFF) senior competition enjoy quality guest posing.
Being held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall under the theme, ‘Bodies of Steel’, the federation in partnership with Fitness Express has confirmed Barbadian IFBB Pro Andrew Jemmott as the guest lifter for the evening of July 20, next.
Owner/Manager of Fitness Express Jamie Mc Donald recently presented to the GABBFF a cheque towards the expenses for Jemmott.
Mc Donald said that his entity whilst not large is committed to giving back towards Guyana’s continued development and in this instance, supporting the GABBFF.
“We have been supporting since we opened for business a few short years ago and apart from fulfilling our corporate responsibility, Fitness Express is very pleased with the progress we have been seeing in the muscle sports which include powerlifting.
It is our view that with consistent support of our athletes, Guyana can go places and we are committed to playing our part”.
GABBFF Organising Secretary, Videsh Sookram in accepting the cheque conveyed the federation’s gratitude to Mc Donald and Fitness Express for their continued partnership with them.
“I can assure you that Mr. Jemmott is excited to be in Guyana and to perform for the fans, he has promised an entertaining performance”.
The categories to be contested at ‘Bodies of Steel’ are juniors, Under-132, Under – 143, Under-154, Under-164, Under-176, Over- 176, Masters Over-40; Miss Fitness, Miss Physique and Men’s Fitness. Admission will be $1000 and Show time is 19:00hrs.
