FRUTA Conquerors Football Club has issued a resounding thank you to Her Excellency Arya Ali, First Lady of Guyana, for her unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, demonstrated through significant investment in community sporting infrastructure.

The First Lady’s latest contribution, providing vital bobcat and heavy roller services, will significantly enhance the playing surface at the Fruta Conquerors Tucville Ground.

This support is crucial as the club strives to create safe, inclusive, professional spaces for its growing women’s division and youth teams, align with regional standards, and expand opportunities for female athletes.

The club also expressed gratitude to Ravin Singh, Director of Projects and Policy at the Office of the First Lady, for their recent visit, further solidifying the strong partnership.

Fruta Conquerors FC President, Martin Massiah, emphasised the transformative impact of the First Lady’s support. “This initiative is a reminder that when you invest in women and youth, you invest in the future of our nation, Guyana,” Massiah stated.

As someone raised in Thorne Street Tucville, I take pride in seeing our club become a beacon of opportunity. We welcome everyone who shares our commitment to long-term growth, especially as we position Fruta Conquerors to become a CONCACAF-licensed club that champions excellence and community development.”

This collaboration underscores a shared vision between Fruta Conquerors FC and the Office of the First Lady, which focuses on creating lasting, positive change through strategic investments in the people and places that matter most to the community.

The club concluded by saluting Her Excellency Arya Ali for her visionary leadership and continued partnership in empowering women through the transformative power of sport.
