In Essequibo… : 16 graduate from cake, pastry making course

SIXTEEN women graduated from a cake and pastry making course, on Monday, at the Johanna Cecilia Learning Resource Centre on the Essequibo coast. Teacher and Co-ordinator of the Centre, Ms. Parbittie Singh said the graduates who performed excellently were presented with certificates.
She said the young women who took great interest in the process were excited as they proudly displayed the things they were taught to make on the day of their graduation.
Singh said special invitees, retired Matron of the Suddie Public Hospital, Ms. Merona Pearson and Expenditure Planning and Management Analyst of the Region 2 (Pomeroon/Supenaam) Administration, Ms. Portia Jacobs sampled the various delicacies that were on display and gave the participants excellent marks for their efforts.
Pearson congratulated the graduating group for attending the classes and learning new skills, so as to enhance their lives.
Those who were coursed thanked Singh for conducting the lessons and exercising patience with them.
