GENEQUIP recently held a five-day technical training course for John Deere Combine technicians under the tutorship of an expert trainer from Brazil. Apart from examining the technical aspects of the Hydrostatic 1175 John Deere Combine, an important part of the training was testing and adjusting the combine to ensure the best fuel consumption to acreage, with the least amount of paddy loss for optimal rice harvesting, a press release stated.
Also participating in the training was a technician from the Jamaican John Deere dealership.

The technical trainer was impressed with Guyana’s farmers and he is quoted as saying: “Guyana’s farmers are very hands-on with the combines, they have optimal header-adjustments, and do their own repairs”, and this allows GENEQUIP technicians to focus on the troubleshooting aspects for technical support.
The technical trainer visited the Mahaicony area along with the GENEQUIP technicians and customers.
