RADESH Nirmal alias ‘Bobo’ who had four grammes of cocaine in his ear when busted on Rose Hall Public Road, Corentyne, was sentenced to three years imprisonment last Friday. Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo, who imposed the sentence at the New Amsterdam Court, also in Berbice, was told Nirmal had, recently, been released from prison, having served a term for a similar offence.
Police on mobile patrol saw the defendant walking along the road but acting in a suspicious manner. They stopped and searched him and found a whitish rock like substance concealed in one ear, the Court was told.
