Threatening behaviour defendant on $50,000 bail

FIFTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD Juliet Barrow, of Lot 104 Leopold Street, Georgetown, faced a charge of threatening behaviour before Magistrate Judy Latchman, yesterday.
She pleaded not guilty to the offence and was granted $50,000 bail until June 24. It is alleged that, on Thursday, June 6, on Cornhill Street, also in the city, the defendant threatened to chop Alicia Clark, whereby a breach of the peace may be occasioned.  

Knife assault alleged during argument   
MARTIN Doorgen, of Lot 117 Regent Road, Bourda, appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.
It is alleged that he, unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Jermaine Davis, causing him actual bodily harm on Thursday, June 6, at Cornhill Street, in Georgetown, as well.
Doorgen pleaded not guilty and was put on $80,000 bail until June 24.
Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt, prosecuting, who did not object to the grant, said the defendant and the virtual complainant were involved in an argument when the latter became annoyed, pulled out a knife which grazed the former.
