BOSAI scaling down operation to satisfy power requirements of Linden : – Three damaged power-generating units to be repaired

THE Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment has been advised by the management of Bosai Minerals Group Guyana Inc. (BOSAI) that it has encountered difficulties with power generation at Linden. The Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Robert M. Persaud, has spoken to the management of BOSAI as well as Prime Minister Samuel Hinds who has responsibility for electricity.
The bauxite company has assured the minister that efforts are being made to repair three damaged power-generating units. Further, the minister was advised by the company that it will be scaling down its bauxite operations so that the power can be distributed to be utilised by the Linden community.
Meanwhile, various stakeholders will be reviewing the situation today to have a normalisation of power generation to service the Linden community.
