ANSA McAl renewed its sponsorship with Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) yesterday for the hosting of the pre- Independence horse race meeting which is scheduled for this Sunday at the Bush Lot Farm venue on the Corentyne.

Ansa McAl Public Relations Officer (PRO) Darshnie Yussuf, in presenting a cheque for a substantial amount towards the feature event, said that her company is once again pleased to be on board with the KMTC.
“It’s the company’s third consecutive year being a partner with the horse racing fraternity; the PRO said, “Horse racing is an amazing sport and we want to see it continue. Every year we see more people come out to support and we love that people show interest in the sport.”
“Come next year we will be very happy to be alongside you (KMTC) as we watch horse racing’s continual growth,” she added.
Justice Cecil Kennard, president of KMTC expressed his gratitude for Ansa McAl’s sponsorship, noting that these events would be nothing without the support of such entities.
The feature event of the day will be the DI and Lower class that carries a top prize of $500 000 with the other three top spots taking home $250 000, $125 000 and $63 000 respectively.
Some of the favourites that will be on show this Sunday include Reina Del Casa, Fresh Again, Mission King, Traditional Man, Bailiff and Bridal Stone Corner. (Kizan Brumell)
