THE newly formed Rose Hall Town Athletics Club will be running off its monthly road race and a Day of Sprints which is carded for the Area ‘H’ ground in Rose Hall Town Berbice, on Labour Day, Wednesday, May 1, from 07:30hrs.
The day’s activity will get started with a road race which will be contested from the Ulverston Bus Shed and end at the Area ‘H’ ground, where competitors will be asked to circle that venue one time before crossing the finish line.
Following that event, a Day of Sprints will commence at 09:00hrs where all sprinters will battle for over $150 000 in cash and prizes in 100m, 200m, 400m and 4x100m events at the Under-14, 16, 18, 20 and 25 age groups for both male and female athletes.
There will also be an Invitational race and invitations have been sent to top athletics clubs in Georgetown, whose athletes along with all other athletes desirous of competing in this event are asked to submit their registration to Godwyn Allicock (660-9048/337-4774) or Colin Bynoe Jr. (629-7613) on or before April 29, to facilitate the smooth flow of events.
