ALLIANCE For Change (AFC) member, Archie Cordis, has signalled his intention to resign as a councillor of the Region 2 Regional Democratic Council (RDC).
Speaking at the statutory meeting of the council on Tuesday, Mr. Cordis said the meeting was likely to be his last because he will be resigning very soon. Cordis said he enjoyed serving as a councillor and had learned a lot, and noted that evidence is there to prove that the administration is making efforts towards development.
The councillor also called for contributions to come from every member of the RDC towards the development of the region.
Meanwhile, Region 2 Chairman, Mr. Parmanand Persaud, observed that the councillor had always kept meetings of the RDC very lively and had made valuable contributions.
PPP/C councilor, Mr. Brian Persaud, also congratulated the AFC councillor for his contributions to the RDC.
