THE nine athletes who qualified for the 2013 Carifta Games may already be halfway to the Bahamas for the games, after the Athletic Association of Guyana recently received contributions from three business entities. Star Party Rentals, Trophy Stall and Payless Variety contributed towards the travelling expenses of the athletes.  
The cheques were collected by vice- president of the Athletics Association (AAG) Gavin Hope and Amanda Robinson assistant secretary/treasurer.
The athletes are: Alita Moore, Tirana Mitchell, Jason Yaw, Cassey George, Jevina Straker, Avon Samuels, Kadecia Baird, Ashley Tasher and Syron McKenzie.
