Winners declared in ‘Shell Drive in to Win’ promotion

TRAVIS Shepherd is the grand prize winner of $2M in the ‘Shell Drive in to Win’ promotion which was launched in December last year and ended in February this year.
The second place winner is Cycileen Wilson who got $500,000 and both winners are faithful customers at Shell Bel Air Park Service Station.

The two third prize winners are Albert Bacchus and Mohabir (only name given), who were presented with $250,000 each. They purchased fuel from Shell Regent Street branch and Shell McDoom respectively.
The ten other winners got complimentary prizes of $100,000 each.
Among the Shell promotion winners are taxi drivers, a teacher, a farmer, a homemaker, a salesman, a mechanic, an accountant and a businessman, indicating that Shell product, Shell V-Power, is the preferred fuel across all groups of people in Guyana, the company noted.
Shell Sales and Marketing Manager, Donna Hope in remarks at the prize giving ceremony last week said that Shell V Power was designed to give better overall performance and to help engines obtain maximum power.
She added that it actively cleans and protects engines as they work, helping to keep them ‘fit and strong’.
Hope stated that Shell V Power with Friction Modification Technology (FMT) is the highest performance fuel and is available exclusively at Shell Service Stations across the country.
She said: “We at Sol wish to thank our customers for their continued patronage in making the promotion a success and look forward to your support in the future. Sol is the largest independent oil company in the Caribbean and is capable of fueling your every need. We continue to offer you a wide range of quality and reliable products and consistent customer service care and service so that we will always be your first choice for petroleum products, in Guyana and across the region.”
The ‘Shell Drive in to Win’ promotion prize-giving event was held last week at Shell Bel Air Service Station in the city where fourteen winners from the grand prize drawing went through a process to select their prizes.
In the end, Shepherd emerged the clear winner of $2M.
On March 4, 2013, Shell Service Station at Regent Street, Georgetown, held its grand prize drawing for its promotion “Drive in to win” in which $4M in cash prizes were up for grabs.
At the drawing 14 winners were selected from the rotisserie and those selected were presented their prizes at Shell Gas Station, Bel Air Park last week Wednesday night.
The promotion was launched on December 12 last year and ended on February 26 this year after 11 weeks in which there were also fortnightly winners of Shell Helix lubricants.
