IAN Ogle (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday and pleaded guilty to simple larceny. He admitted that, on February 15, at Eccles, East Bank Demerara, he stole $9,000 from Eric Qualis.
The defendant claimed he works during the day as a conductor on the virtual complainant’s bus and he would, usually, deduct his pay from how much money is made and give Qualis the remainder.
Ogle said that, maybe he was wrong to make the deduction and, when he returned the money to the virtual complainant, the latter did not want to accept it.
The defendant was put on $10,000 bail until March 13.
