TEAMS desirous of competing in the Georgetown Cricket Softball League (GCSL), in collaboration with Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, Mike’s Copy Centre, Star Party Rentals, organised and sponsored softball competition, are asked to do so via registration which commences this Sunday at various venues.

The tournament, which is the first for 2013 under the auspices of the GCSL will be contested in three categories, namely Male and Female Open, who will be doing battle for 12 overs-a-side and Men Over-35, whose competition will be a 20/20 affair.
Prizes for all three categories are attractive, with the Male and Female Open winners taking home $100 000 each and a trophy, the runners-up $50 000 and a trophy while the Men Over-35 winners will collect $200 000 and a trophy and the second-placed finishers $100 000 and a trophy.
The registration fee for each category is as follows: Male Open $7 000, Female Open $5 000 (and this is for teams in Demerara only) and Men Over-35 $5 000.
Teams can complete their registration at the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) Sports Club on Woolford Avenue this Sunday between the 10:00hrs and 16:00hrs.
