Six secondary schools in Linden have been drawn to contest the Abdulla Hamid Basketball Foundation/Caring for Things inter- secondary school Under-15 basketball championship which starts tomorrow at the Mackenzie High School basketball court.
The opening matches will see Mackenzie High School versus Harmony Secondary from 14:30hrs and Christianburg/Wismar Secondary against Wisburg Secondary from 15.30hrs at the same venue.
According to Abdulla Hamid, the tournament will be played on a round robin basis and the top teams will qualify for semi-finals play and then the final.
The next set of matches are set for next Wednesday when New Silvercity Secondary face Harmony in the first game at 14.30hrs and the second will see Linden Foundation Secondary matching skills with Wisburg Secondary.
Several trophies, replicas and medals are at stake for the top performing teams in this tournament.
