No apology for supporting LCDS and condemning detractors

I wish to refer to a letter in the Sunday Kaieteur News of January 6, 2013 under the caption, “Poor Peter’s just singing for his supper” and written by “Amused Reader”.
Kindly permit me to state the following:1. It is regrettable that “Amused Reader” demonstrated gross cowardice in not stating his/her name as the letter writer in order for me to engage in a detailed and constructive discourse on the matters raised in his/her letter.
2. TAAMOG is a legally registered Non-Governmental Organisation under the Friendly Societies Act. The President, Secretary and Treasurer are its key officials. The President and Secretary are in high demand to attend meetings convened by government and national and international organisations. As a matter of organisational policy, the secretary is the live wire of TAAMOG, responsible for ensuring that the business of the organisation is implemented according to the wishes of the executive committee which manages the affairs of TAAMOG.
3. TAAMOG does have a rock-solid membership roll, but unfortunately I am not authorised according to organisational policy to divulge information to persons unknown regarding TAAMOG’s numerical strength. But “Amused Reader” in his/her letter claims to know the president and secretary of TAAMOG, why can’t he/she make an appointment with us to talk about TAAMOG? We would be very happy to meet with him/her.
4. If I am accused of “Singing for my Supper” by strongly supporting Guyana’s LCDS and its benefits to Amerindian communities of Guyana and condemning its detractors in the public domain, then so shall it be for a just cause.
