POLICE arrested a man last Saturday after searching a building at Sand Hill, Cuyuni, where they found an unlicensed gun, ammunition and a quantity of cannabis sativa (marijuana). The search, by a roving Police patrol, took place about 08:00 hrs and the ranks took possession of a .38 ‘Taurus Special’ revolver, nine matching bullets and 476 grammes of the narcotic.
The detained man remains in custody, assisting with the investigations.
