RESIDENTS of Enmore, and persons generally living on the East Coast Demerara corridor, have expressed their deep satisfaction with services offered at the Enmore Poly Clinic since its opening in March 2002.
Some of its patients have told this publication that they no longer have to go to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) to access critical services, since those services are now being offered by the Enmore Poly Clinic; and they are utterly satisfied with this development.
Several patients have given the facility an excellent grade. They say it provides internal medicines, dentistry and general practitioner services comparable to what obtains at the nation’s principal public health care institution. Moreover, the environment is clean, and contiguous East Coast Demerara communities have been positively impacted by the availability of health care services at Enmore.
What is also pleasing to them is that the elderly and children are receiving medical attention, and are benefiting tremendously from this extension of the Ministry of Health.
Regrettably, efforts to solicit a response from the appropriate authority within the poly clinic proved futile.
