THE Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) Company yesterday disclosed their newest promotions for the Seaboard Marine/GT&T Race of Champions which will be hosted here at the South Dakota Circuit on November 11.
For the first time in the sport they will be selling the tickets for both Adult and Child via their SMS/Text Message service.
This can be done by texting the amount of tickets followed by ‘Adult’ or ‘Child’ which is represented by ‘A’ and ‘C’ (e.g. 1A, 2C), respectively, to 620-RACE (7223) and the total will be deducted from the person’s core balance.
Also attached to this deal is the use of the ‘fast lane’ for patrons to get into the venue faster. GT&T’s Allison Dundas noted that this entrance is from the Linden/Soesdyke Highway. She urged persons to purchase this way since it is high priority and sales end on November 9.
The company also has numerous other promotions throughout the day of reckoning and leading up to that day including the ‘Race for the Lead’.
Meanwhile, GMR&SC’s Vishoke Persaud disclosed that all the vehicles for the meet have already arrived in Guyana which amounts to about 20. Most of Guyana’s rivals Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago are expected to arrive on Tuesday and test-run their machines from Thursday to Saturday.
Over 70 competitors make up the Group car categories along with the Superbikes and Go-Karts
GT&T and the GMR&SC are currently in a three-year contract but have been in a partnership for over seven years.
