JUNIOR Marks (no address given) was ordered to post $100,000 bail yesterday when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, charged with unlawful wounding.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that, on October 28, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Andy Lall.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, said the defendant is the captain of a boat and the virtual complainant is a labourer on board.
The prosecutor said, that day, the virtual complainant was intoxicated and the defendant requested that he disembark the vessel but he refused and,consequently, was kicked and cuffed about the body by the captain.
The prosecutor had no objection to the granting of pre-trial liberty and Marks will make his next appearance on November 9.
