Nagamootoo in a clan hell-bent on creating anarchy in Guyana

IT is with great disappointment that I write this letter today. Moses Nagamootoo should indeed be ashamed of his actions which led to what transpired at Agricola, East Bank Demerara, recently.I am truly ashamed to have been associated with Mr Nagamootoo in the past. Mr. Nagamootoo is so obsessed with becoming President and consumed with his hatred for our duly elected President Donald Ramotar that it seems he has sold his morals and standards in a bid to unseat His Excellency.

Mr. Nagamootoo, you have no morals, no standards and no credibility anymore, in my book. To become president you have begun to engage in the very undemocratic methods you spoke out about while you were a member of the People’s Progressive Party/Civic. You have piggy backed on, and used the name of Dr. Cheddi Jagan mainly to serve your own purpose many times over.
You have even claimed that Dr Jagan promised you the presidency, a claim adamantly rejected by the surviving Jagans. They have all labelled you a teller of tales.
Due to your obsession with the presidency you have engaged in undemocratic and unconventional methods, and have even made many reckless statements which have endangered the lives of many law-abiding citizens.
It seems as though you would stop at nothing to destabilise our country with a hope that you can become that consensus president you often dreamed about. You and your crony, Nigel Hughes, have embarked on a dangerous path, i.e., to obstruct our progress, slow our development, destabilise our country thus reducing our attractiveness to foreign investors and ultimately threatening the livelihoods of our people.
During your time in the PPP/C you spoke out and fought against these very things you not only condone but also advocate today. Due to your actions of recent, I now beg you to desist from using Dr. Cheddi Jagan’s name, for he must now be very ashamed as I am, of being associated with you in the past.
Instigating violence is a criminal offense, and is expected only from the worst people in our society. Mr. Nagamootoo,  it is not your god-given-right to be President. You are now acting like a spoilt child, who is seeking to destroy everything because you did not have it your way.
Mr. Nagamootoo,  history will be the judge; stop trying to tear down all the gains made by the PPP.
The party you once told people was Guyana’s natural government. I have the confidence that the People’s Progressive Party would never allow individuals to distract it from its developmental agenda for our country,  nor its service delivery to the citizens of this great country. You are very disappointed that even though you have exited, this party remains strong and very connected to the pulse of the people. More and more people would see you for who you are – a bitter politician that would stop at nothing to satisfy an obsession.
Let me give you a lesson from your “mentor” Dr. Cheddi Jagan. He taught members that the PPP/C is not about individuals, it is about collective will. Its main focus is about the development of the country and the uplifting of its people. It’s not about personalities, it’s about a coming together for a common good. It’s about putting people before self. It’s about peace, prosperity and good, clean, accountable governance. It’s about love and respect for each other regardless of race, class or creed. It’s about realising our motto of One People, One Nation, with a common Destiny.
Mr. Nagamootoo, you have now joined a clan that is hell bent on creating anarchy and interrupting the peace and security that should be guaranteed to all Guyanese. I am
