Politics and greed for power certainly make strange bedfellows

IT is interesting to know what the opposition and its charlatans are saying about the Commission of Inquiry. They are making all kinds of derogatory remarks about that body and the way in which it is conducting its business. I have read in one of the print media where one Mark Archer has spoken definitively “of not wasting any more time with the CoI.” The same newspaper he writes for called the proceedings “puzzling,” all in the valley of foolishness. There is nothing puzzling about the findings. It is a revelation of what all right thinking individuals already know. The lies and innuendos coming from the opposition is certainly disgusting. No wonder the commission has gotten tired and needed some well-earned rest. They have resumed proceedings only to be greeted by such nonsense.
These are the very same individuals who were so upbeat and vociferous as to the severe punishment that is to be meted out to the government when the CoI would have completed its findings. They have now turned tails to run and hide.
They were so sure of their case against the “murderous” government that Nigel Hughes expressly sent for an expert to be part of the inquiry. The expert came and gave his expert testimony which they are all disclaiming as untrue. They are so ashamed of the findings of Dr Robinson that they have now resorted to calling him a paid informant of the government.
Very interesting development from a people who thought they had an airtight case. With such international coverage it is difficult for them to sweep things under the carpet. That is why the 180 degree turnaround on their own expert. But the truth is the truth and nothing but the truth.  The good doctor could not have gone contrary to what was the naked truth and what his conscience dictated; something that Nigel Hughes and his acolytes are devoid of.
Thank you Dr Robinson for standing up for the truth!

The commissioners are not fools they can read the whole scenario as a book. The facts are clear and with the latest AFC and APNU sponsored Agricola unrest has made matters even worse. This is not hearsay testimony. This is first-hand information unfolding right before their very eyes.
Opposition sourced, opposition-sponsored terrorism is right before the very eyes of the visitors and what a spectacle that was. So when Desmond Trotman and others could come up and barefacedly testify that they were right to commit violent acts and the peace officers were wrong, these sayings come as no surprise to anyone with even half a brain.
Don’t you think that the commissioners were horrified at such brazen violence? Don’t they think that the commissioners would be taking down notes with deft accuracy as to the opposition’s agenda? Things are not looking good for the opposition and no face-saving stunts could change the course of the findings of the commission.
Violence is a signature statement of the opposition from time immemorial. The PNC/APNU are noted for this sort of thing. There are only two unfortunate newcomers to that list, namely, Ramjattan and Nagamootoo. I call them unfortunates because they are alien to this kind of behaviour having being born out of a party that abhors violence. But as the saying goes, when you go to Rome you do as the Romans do.
Politics and greed for power certainly make strange bedfellows.
