JOSHUA Frank, 32, of Lot 70 ‘A’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, appeared in court yesterday, charged with threatening his wife, Nesha Frank.
In front of Magistrate Sueanna Lovell, he pleaded not guilty to the charge, which said, on October 19, he made use of threatening language to the virtual complainant, causing a breach of the peace. The defendant told the court he and his wife had an exchange of words and she reported him to the police.
The virtual complainant said her husband does not go anywhere and does not want her to go out, either, but, that day, she ventured out and, on her return home, the defendant cursed her and threatened that, one day, he will deal with her.
She said she became fearful and reported the incident. However, she does not wish to proceed with the case but requested that the defendant remove from the house and be placed on a bond.
The magistrate informed the virtual complainant that she does not have the power to remove the defendant from their home but would put him on a bond to keep the peace for three months.
The case was dismissed on the grounds of no evidence offered.
