Digicel has also committed to the members of the group to continue their support towards this project, both phases one and two as they seek to aid in the development of children and youth.
“We have over the years been committed to fostering the development of youth, and this initiative is one that we give our support to one hundred per cent. We are optimistic that this will grow into something much bigger and influence more children. This community has always been close to our hearts since is within the direct environs of our offices, we would like to wholeheartedly thank the members of this alliance for this project and we look forward to continuing our support, as we positively impact the lives of the children and families of Tiger Bay,” added Simone Pierre of Digicel.
Nazia Mohamed Persaud, a founding member of the group noted how grateful they were for the timely donation, as they would have to use their personal laptops to provide the literacy training for the group of children in the training project.
“We reach out to many companies with hopes that they would assist us, we were so excited when Digicel returned a call to us after seeing our request, this means so much to us and the kids here today, thank you Digicel and we look forward to making this a success and your continued support,” said Persaud.
