DAVE Mohabir’s half-century, coupled with some clinical bowling from Joshua Charles and Danesh Persaud, piloted Georgetown U15 to an easy 64-run win over West Demerara at Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground, on Friday.
Skipper Mohabir batted with confidence as he helped his team reach the victorious total of 124 for 4 from their reduced 25 overs due to early showers.

The rain did not prevent the Georgetown players from shining as the skipper was well supported by Kishan Silasm who chipped in with 23 and Emanuel Lewis 11.
Permeshwar Ram and Shaker Lall were the bowlers who managed to grab one wicket each
Lall then returned with the bat and tried to take his team to their target but was dismissed for 12. He was the lone batter to reach double figures as the team fell for an insufficient 60-4 from their 25 overs. Spinner Danesh Persaud claimed 2-11 while Joshua Charles bagged 2-2, as the bowlers did their jobs.
Meanwhile in the upcoming round of games, Georgetown will battle Upper Demerara while West Demerara will face East Bank Demerara.
