PRESIDENT Dr Irfaan Ali and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Todd, took joy to the residents of the Dharm Shala in Albouystown, Georgetown, on Christmas Day.
The President during the annual Christmas luncheon donated $1M to the charitable organisation which celebrated its 100th anniversary last April. He also distributed toys to the children of Albouystown.
The Dharm Shala in a statement said the luncheon was a festive occasion punctuated with music by well-known musician, CAMO.

The President on behalf of the government extended Christmas greetings to all residents and at the close of the function, he, Minister Todd and businessmen Gerry Gouveia and Edward Boyer assisted in serving the Christmas lunch.
During the function, Pamela Ramsaroop, while thanking the President for his attendance gave an overview of the work of the Dharm Shala in 2021, making special mention of its 100th year anniversary.
