The APNU party, which is the newest name for the PNC (Note: they had approximately six name changes in the past 14 years) and which now includes the WPA, AFC, JFA, etc, means that there is really only one opposition party in the Parliament of Guyana and that is the dreaded PNC.
Moreover, this fact is evident in their illegal and raucous behaviour both inside and outside of the Parliament of Guyana. I am very positive that, no one wants to be, or needed to be reminded of what they put our nation and its people through between 1964 – 1992. So notwithstanding what they preach and contrary to what they would like us to believe, Granger, Ramjattan, Trotman, Nagamootoo and the likes are full-fledged PNCers.
This new bunch of PNCers, in association with the old bunch, like Corbin, Mark Benchop, Greenidge, et al, are hell-bent on bringing down the elected PPP/C Government and seizing political power, at any cost. The PNC may have some new add-ons, as mentioned above, along with a new name, but, a tiger never changes its stripes and we can expect nothing different from this new PNC (APNU party). We cannot and must not allow them to succeed…as our nation and our people cannot endure another 28  years of PNC dictatorship and misrule.

How can we ever forget some of the sad and fearful legacies of the PNC party, which are as follows:

1) the empty shelves in our supermarkets and “Cake shops”.
2) the sad faces and bloated bellies of our schoolchildren, when many fainted in their classrooms from hunger on a daily basis.
3) the poor and disgraceful results of our students at exams.
4) the suppression of workers, especially the sugar workers and farmers.
5) the low morale of our teachers to teach and our police to maintain law and order.
6) the non-existence of freedom of the press and freedom of expression.
7) the suppression of opposition political parties and the jailing and assassination of political opponents. 
8). And, last but certainly not least , the fraudulent rigging of four elections and one referendum.
My fellow countrymen and women, please remember this: “Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it”.
Please remember the above quote, especially when the likes of Ramjattan, Granger, Benschop and Nagamootoo and Corbin come around and want your vote.
