A 52-year-old motor cyclist Bharat Sancharie of Golden Fleece, Essequibo Coast lost his life in tragic circumstances Tuesday night after the motor cycle he was riding plunged into a drainage canal near the public road at Zorg-en-Vlught at around 20:15 hrs. Reports said the man who is a farmer was returning home from a cremation he had attended during the day at the La Union foreshore when he probably lost control of his motor cycle which plunged into a drainage trench near the public road and trapped him under water where he allegedly died.
The father of two was pulled out of the canal by residents who rushed to the scene. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Suddie Hospital.
