DE BLUETOOTHER has noticed how Moses, Khemraj and Sase are defending lawlessness through looting and burning as seen from the protests in Linden. These are the same men who vociferously condemned such behaviour while they were in the PPP. Then, they rightly opined that such actions are counter productive and would only serve to destabilise the fledgling democracy the country is.
The city and other parts of the country bear the scars of post- elections unrest organised by the opposition as a demonstration of their non-acceptance of the democratic will of the Guyanese people.
In the process, many businesses were set ablaze, others looted and innocent citizens were beaten and robbed. The economic loss was staggering. These atrocities, which can help to derail the progress achieved under the PPP/C administration, are now aggressively being touted as lawful by the opportunistic trio who were kicked out of the PPP!
While Sase pens his venom from the comfort of his abode in North America, totally divorced from the issues, Moses and Khemraj have been integrally involved in instigating the mayhem seen.
The Constitution guarantees the rights of all, including the trio, to engage in peaceful protest. What transpired in Linden can never, by any stretch of one’s imagination, be described in any form or way, as peaceful protest. Roads were blocked and buildings torched.
While much has been said about this, it has been reported that some protestors have been demanding monies from citizens who need to traverse Linden.
A truck driver painfully related how he was ordered out of his vehicle by some of the protestors and beaten. The truck was set alight. A businessman reported that his truck which was laden with goods was looted.
Instead of condemning such atrocities by thugs, the trio have vehemently voiced their support! This follows their shameless display in Parliament when they supported the PNC to cut the budget to derail development and make hundreds jobless.
How suddenly has the havoc wreaked by PNC thugs become defendable by the three? What explanation can they provide to Guyanese for supporting the lawlessness seen? Is it because lawlessness attracts lawlessness?
Given the accusations made against Khemraj of allegedly depriving a poor man of his home; the accusations of demanding bribes levelled against Sase and the accusations against Moses of having his studies funded by a contractor, maybe it shouldn’t be surprising that they now support lawlessness! Hmmm!
GT Bluetooth… MOSES, KHEMRAJ AND SASE NOW SUPPORT LAWLESSNESS!
