DAMIEN O’Brian (no address given) appeared yesterday before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore, charged with maliciously and unlawfully assaulting Laurie Crawford, his wife of two years, on July 16 at Sophia, Greater Georgetown. O’Brian pleaded not guilty to the charges, and Crawford told the court that he is her beloved husband; she has forgiven him for what he had done, and is quite willing to drop the charges against him if he promises to “behave well.”
The man apologized to the court, and declared himself willing to comply with Crawford’s requests.
Magistrate Moore gave O’Brian a stern warning, before dismissing the matter after both parties agreed to settlement.
