… Pouderoyen Young Achievers secure win
AFTER a convincing 2-1 victory over Beavers last Sunday at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground, Uitvlugt Warriors have commanded the league as leaders after three matches on full points. In the supporting game in Sunday’s fixture, Pouderoyen Young Achievers secured a similar 2-1 victory over Stewartville to place them in a comfortable position in the league standings.
Dellon Lanferman opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after forcing the Beavers’ defenders to work overtime as he persistently sought all the possible opportunities to score his first goal, sending his team into the lemon-time break with a 1-0 advantage.
On resumption of play for the second half, the Warriors continued their attack and got their second goal through Devon Floyd in the 53rd minute, before Anthony Harding a former national player, found the back of the net in the 76th for the Beavers, to reduce the deficit to one goal, which remained unchanged at the final whistle.
In the supporting game, Pouderoyen Young Achievers, through goals from Dellon Millington (16th) and Dexroy Adams (56th), secured a similar 2-1 victory over Stewartville, whose lone goal came off the boot of Orlanzo Henry in the 37th minute of first half.
