– under its “Value Tun Up” umbrella
DIGICEL Guyana officially launched its ‘Value Tun Up’ promotion Friday at the Blue Lagoon Room of the Tower Hotel, where the media was entertained by local tassa drummers and tantalizing dances by several Digicel ambassadors. Public Relations Manager, Shonnet Moore, said the “Value Tun Up” promo is part of Digicel’s commitment to provide value to its customers, and that this campaign is basically an umbrella for all the fantastic promotions that Digicel has, encapsulated in the “Talk Tun Up”, Credit Tun Up”, “Work Days Tun Up”, “Weekends Tun Up”, and “Text Tun Up” promos.
She, moreover, urged persons to attend the free party the company will be having that night at the Hotel Tower Poolside, in which a leading Jamaican DJ will be in the house to entertain the party.
Moore noted that the “Value Tun Up” promotions will see being staged across the country several events in which customers would be eligible to win fantastic prices. She said the slogan “Tun Up” was chosen because it is a youth brand, and since Digicel Guyana was exploring several terms, “Tun Up” seemed to be the slogan that was most popular and liked by most.
Moore disclosed that the “Value Tun UP” promo is a long-term promotion, and is a prelude to the Digicel summer promotion, which is yet to be launched, although it has been in planning for sometime.
Guyana’s leading telecommunications provider emphasised the benefits of being a Digicel customer when Digicel Head of Marketing, Jacqueline James, said the company is committed to delivering value to mobile consumers in Guyana, so the company is very excited to introduce this new campaign. Apart from its great offers, Digicel’s “Value Tun Up” will also feature several exciting outdoor activities designed to give customers chances to win big. Those activities began with a free launch party on Friday night at the Hotel Tower poolside.
While that party was open to the public, only the first 1,500 persons were allowed entry, and a number of exciting surprises had been lined up for those in attendance.
“We want to give customers value for their money, so we are providing these great offers which will suit each of their specific needs,” James disclosed.
“Under Work Days Tun Up, Digicel customers who top up $600 and more between 8am and 5pm will get to call Digi-to–Digi alsolutely free all day up to 5pm. Credit Tun Up gives Digicel customers up to $1000 free credit on their first top up of the month. With Talk Tun Up, customers can talk for three minutes Digi-to-Digi and get the next fifteen minutes on the same call free; while Text Tun Up allows customers to send twenty-five free text messages after paying for the first three. We also have Weekend Tun Up, which gives customers the chance to talk for free from 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs once they top up with $1500 or more during the week,” James concluded.
