TWO youths, who are alleged to have killed a third, following a misunderstanding at the ‘Dusk ‘til Dawn’ nightclub, last June 3, were remanded to prison when they appeared before Magistrate Krishendat Persaud at Whim Court on Wednesday. Raphael Morrison and Joshua Persaud were, allegedly, armed with cutlasses when they murdered Marlon Andrew Ramcharran, of Lot 125 Tain Settlement.
The victim had gone to purchase Chinese food at Lucky Star Restaurant, for his mother, Geetawattie Ramgobin called Pamela and his teenage sister.
He returned home but left, an hour later, to attend a wake at John’s, Port Mourant, another place in Corentyne, Berbice, but went, instead, to the ‘Dusk til Dawn’ where an argument arose between him and his two peers, during which he was fatally chopped to his neck and other parts of the body.
The wounded young man was picked up, from in a pool of blood where he lay motionless, and taken to Port Mourant Hospital, Corentyne, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His accused killers have to be back in court on June 25.
