According to information reaching the Guyana Chronicle, the motor car was proceeding north along the western lane of Golden Fleece Public Road, allegedly at a fast rate, when the pedal cyclist, who was riding in the eastern lane, heading south, suddenly swerved west into the path of the car.
As a result of the collision, the pedal cyclist was flung some distance away and landed on roadway. He sustained injuries about his body and began bleeding profusely from his head. Rajkumar was subsequently picked up in an unconscious condition and rushed to Suddie Public Hospital where he was examined by a doctor and pronounced dead.
