HUMOUR is indeed great medicine for the mind and soul and there is now a standing joke with my interior location associates that when “You Switch, You Itch.” This is with reference to GT&T”s new promo adds about switching. At the same time, I believe that my eyes might be fooling me after viewing Stabroek News back page image on May 15,2012 and the headline: “Warriors, Lioness bitten as Regal, Angels triumph in GT&T 10/10 finals.”
Please, can someone from SN or anyone from the public educate me and say that it is a mistake of having the image of one Mr. Wilson (Track & Field Coach of the Police Club) in that back page photograph?
Or did Mr. Wilson also “switch” full time to 10/10 GT&T cricket as coach from Track and Field?
If I am correct, isn’t Digicel one of the sponsors for the President/Jefford Linden Track Meet on May 20, 2012?
To my mind, if and I say “if” Mr. Wilson has also made that switch, that would be a major blow to the Track and Field Fraternity of Guyana, especially for the Linden Track Meet on May 20,2012. Perhaps, he was on loan from the Athletics Association of Guyana to the cricket fraternity.
In that case, Mr. Wilson would be considered “smart” because on one hand he coaches a 10/10 cricket team organised by GT&T and the other hand, he coaches track athletes and on many occasions one could notice Digicel’s promo flags at track meets.
