THE contract of Director of Regional Health Services, Jevaughn Stephen, was terminated on Monday, with immediate effect, according to a letter signed by Region Six Regional Executive Officer (ag) Surindradat Beharry.

The letter stated that the contract for service as director dated 2018-07-09 for the period 2018- 09- 04 to 2021-09-03 is hereby terminated on 2020- 09-16 pursuant to clause 7 (a) of the contract.

Stephen has been asked to proceed on leave, with immediate effect, until the contract comes to an end on September 16.
Further, he was thanked for his rendered services; he was ordered to return any property or records of the Government of Guyana which may be in his custody.
