AT a presentation ceremony Martin Singh, Managing Director of the Associated Business Services (ABS), presented a cheque to assist the Young Warriors Cricket Club of Cumberland Village, East Canje Berbice, to pay for a 42-inch, self-driven, craftsman brand land mower.
The land mower was acquired from Sears Miami at the cost of $340 000 and the club is aggressively raising funds to pay for the machine, a result of which, Singh came to their assistance.
Anil Beharry, secretary/treasurer of the club, takes this opportunity to thank Mr Singh for his kind gesture, along with Clement De Nobrega, Dave Sookrah of the U.S. and Mr Mohamed S. Raffik of Raffik’s Construction, among other donors.
The club looks forward for help from other good cooperative citizens, corporate businesses and private individuals, as they seek to erase the debt owed to the overseas-based company for the land mower.
