Police seeking public help to identify male body

THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the body of a male, suspected to be of East Indian descent, which was found floating in a trench at Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara, around 13:55hrs, on Monday.

The body bears black hair and is without moustache; it is clad in a burgundy-coloured jersey, blue track pants with white stripes at the sides and a pair of black socks.

Additionally, it is about 5ft 7inches in height and weighs about 150lbs; no tattoos or other distinguishing marks were observed. There were, however, marks of violence on his forehead and right hand and his head was covered with a plastic bag.

The body is at the Ezekiel Funeral Parlour awaiting identification and a post-mortem.
