New Business College

– FREE FULL-TIME FIRST FORM TUITION 2009/2010
The New Business College (NBC)/International Business College (IBC) is once again giving back to the community as it celebrates 12 years of quality training of students.

This year the college promises new beginnings as it announced its generosity in granting $45,000 worth of tuition free to all full-time First Form students.

In effect, all First Formers will be exempted from Term One Payments for this new academic year 2009-2010.

In an invited comment, the institution’s Administrator, Mrs. Natashia Ramdhani, said, “I am overwhelmingly pleased with the results at the college and so I want to give something back to the community.”

According to her, as the word is already out, the response has been terrific as some parents have since called expressing their keen interest; and as a result, several bookings have been made for the new academic year.

Ramdhani said, “I am glad that parents do find the initiative a good one. Moreover, there is a refreshing feeling that comes with this decision and I am excited that this special offer is now a reality.”

Generally, with such an offer, the idea in many minds is that there is a catch.

However, when asked about the ‘catch’ the Administrator asserted, “There is no catch, but of course conditions would apply, such as satisfying other admission requirements.”

She observed the importance of a sound education which paves the way for greater successes.

The Administrator lamented the high cost of having such good education and added that parents should seize this opportunity which would place less strain on their budget.

Mrs. Ramdhani emphasised that the money which would have been used for tuition could now be used to purchase other important items, particularly textbooks, which are “generally expensive.”

Speaking briefly on student awards, Ramdhani remarked that a number of the students would qualify for key prizes such as two Prime Star Awards 2010, the Umana Developments Gold Star Award 2010, and one of the most outstanding awards, The Principal’s Award.

The Administrator emphasised that Students Awards are important as these tend to motivate students into excellence.

Also, she explained that suitable students enjoy work study placements and most of them soon find themselves eventually working at the work study sites.

ȁNBC lauds the strong and healthy link that it has with prominent organisations here and would like to thank these business persons,” Ramdhani said.

The New Business College is an accredited institution of learning with the Association of Business Executives (ABE), UK, and has produced two World Prize Winners: Mr. Michael Pertab, (NCN, Channel 11); and Ms. Savitri B. Dino, New Building Society.

“ongratulations to these two outstanding students”, she posited, and urged all students to follow suit.

ȁIt’s there to take, reach out and take it.” Ms. Ramdhani asserted.

Ramdhani added that she would like to express her appreciation to all staff-members, especially the teachers for making possible the excellent performances.

As an addition to the philanthropic initiatives, the administrator stated that the new registrants would qualify for free ABE courses for the December 2009 Examinations.

She stated that interested parents and students are encouraged to come in and talk with her.
