THE Guyana Police Force has reported that, at about 23:55 hrs on Tuesday last, its ranks responded to a report of assault and threatening behaviour at Beaver Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, where the alleged assailant, Seon Bamfield, 23, of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was contacted. During efforts to arrest Bamfield, GPF said he attacked the ranks with a knife, and sustained a gunshot injury in the process.
He has been admitted a patient under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
